Periscope Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

Periscope watches the news on the companies you sell to, scores each story against what you sell, and helps you decide who to contact and what to say. This policy covers the website at periscope.email, the Periscope iPhone app, the daily email, and the Periscope connector for AI assistants (MCP). Together they are "Periscope".

Periscope is operated by GO Man Studios ("we", "us"), a business registered in Cook County, Illinois, United States. Questions about this policy: support@periscope.email.

1. What we collect

About you, when you use Periscope

Account
Email address, name, job title, company name and domain, profile photo, time zone, and your LinkedIn URL and phone number if you add them.
Where it comes from: You, or Google when you sign in with Google
Your selling profile
What your company sells, the signals you care about, the job titles you target, your territory filters, documents you upload about your company, writing samples and templates for your outreach voice, custom AI instructions, and an address to copy on your daily email.
Where it comes from: You
Your territory
The companies you track, their tier, your notes, and who in your team is assigned to them; the people you save at those companies; drafts, outreach plans, stakeholder maps and LinkedIn posts written for you; what you mark as done, dismiss or tell us is the wrong company; comments and mentions in a team workspace; links you share.
Where it comes from: You and your teammates, and what Periscope generates for you
Images you import
A screenshot or photo of an account list, read to add the companies on it.
Where it comes from: You
Billing
Your plan, payments and their dates and amounts, your credit balance and its history, and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. We never see or store your card number.
Where it comes from: Stripe and you
Use of the website
Pages viewed, what you click, time on page, when a visit starts, the site or campaign that sent you, your approximate location (country and city, worked out from your connection; the address itself is not kept), your device and browser, and whether a visit came from one of our emails. A random visitor id is kept in your browser so a return visit counts once.
Where it comes from: Our own measurement on periscope.email, signed in or not, plus Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics on the website
Our emails
Whether an email was delivered, opened or bounced, which link was clicked, and the email client's user agent.
Where it comes from: Our email provider, Resend
Use of AI and the MCP connector
How many AI tokens each feature used, which MCP tools were called, and when.
Where it comes from: Our own records. These hold no content.
AI requests
The text sent to an AI model for a feature, such as your value proposition and the story.
How long: Kept 30 days to investigate problems, then deleted automatically
The phone app
If you allow notifications: this phone's push token, its model (for example "iPhone 16"), the app version, and a history of the notifications we sent you.
Where it comes from: The app

The iPhone app has no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting software. It does not read your location, photos, contacts or microphone. Face ID, if you turn it on, is handled by iOS, and we never receive it. On the phone itself the app keeps your sign-in in the iOS Keychain, a copy of your territory so it opens quickly, and your settings.

About other people: the contacts in your territory

Periscope holds business contact information about people who work at the companies its users sell to:

  • name and job title, and the company they work at
  • work email address, and sometimes a personal email or a phone number when a user chooses to reveal one
  • LinkedIn profile and photo
  • city or region

It comes from Apollo.io, a business contact database; from news articles that name the person; and from what our users import or type in. Users choose these people and see them; we do not sell them, publish them or contact them. Users send any message themselves, from their own email or LinkedIn.

If you are one of these people and want to know what we hold about you, or want it removed, email support@periscope.email. We will answer within 30 days.

From people who open a shared link

Someone who opens a story a Periscope user shared with them (periscope.email/s/…) may give their name and email to act on it. We keep them with that share link.

2. How we use it

  • To run Periscope for you: find news about your accounts, score how relevant each story is to what you sell, write drafts, find and reveal the people you choose, build your daily brief, and show all of it to you and to your teammates if you are in a team.
  • To send you the daily email, notifications on your phone if you allow them, and messages about your account: sign-in codes, trials, credits and changes to Periscope.
  • To bill you, and to keep a record of credits granted and spent.
  • To keep Periscope secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
  • To understand how Periscope is used, so we can improve it.

We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.

3. AI

Periscope shares information with third-party AI services to score stories, write drafts and briefs, research your accounts, and suggest contacts. What it sends includes your value proposition and selling profile, the story, the names and titles of the people involved, and the picture of an account list when you import one.

You give your permission for this when you create your account and accept this policy. Stories are scored automatically for every user, so if you do not want your information sent to these services, do not use Periscope.

  • The models: OpenAI and Anthropic (Claude), for scoring, drafting, briefs and contacts; Perplexity, to research the web for the weekend digest; and Google's Gemini, through the Lovable AI gateway, only as a last resort when the others fail.
  • No training: OpenAI, Anthropic and Perplexity say in their terms for business API customers that they do not train their models on what we send. The Gemini fallback is reached through Lovable's AI gateway and is covered by Lovable's terms.
  • Drafts only: AI output is a draft. You read it, change it and send it yourself. Periscope cannot send email or LinkedIn messages for you, and has no access to your inbox.

4. Who we share it with

Only the providers that run Periscope for us, each for the purpose listed, and your teammates when you work in a team workspace.

We require each provider to protect your information at least as well as this policy does. We will disclose information if the law requires it.

Your team. When you join a team workspace, its members can see the shared territory: its accounts, contacts, drafts, comments, and who did what in the team's activity feed. The workspace owner manages the credits you spend.

5. Where it is stored

We are based in the United States. Periscope's database and website are hosted in Singapore, and some providers above process information in the United States and elsewhere. We choose providers whose terms commit them to protect what we send, and we send each one only what its job needs.

6. How long we keep it

  • While your account exists, we keep what is listed in section 1. The exception is AI requests, which are deleted after 30 days.
  • When you delete your account, everything of yours is deleted at once and permanently, in one step. That covers your profile, preferences, territory, contacts, drafts, plans, share links, credits, payment rows, email history, notification history, registered phones and uploaded files.
  • What remains after a deletion:
    • A record that an account was deleted: the date, your account's random identifier, a one-way fingerprint of your email address (not the address itself), your Stripe customer identifier, and counts of what was deleted. This lets us answer "was my account deleted?" and match a later billing question.
    • Stripe's own payment records, which Stripe keeps as the record of payments.
    • News stories and company records, which are shared by everyone who tracks the same companies. They hold nothing about you.
    • Records of what an AI or data call cost us, with your identifier removed.
    • In a team: what your teammates wrote that mentions you. If you owned a team, each former teammate keeps the copy of your selling profile they received when they joined.
  • Backups are kept for 7 days, so what you delete is gone from them within 7 days.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Delete your account: on the website (Settings → Delete account) or in the iPhone app (Me → Delete account). It happens at once. If you own a team workspace with teammates, remove them on the Team page first.
  • Download your data: on the website, Settings → Data Export. The file covers your profile, preferences and payment history. For anything else, email us.
  • Correct it: edit your profile and settings, or email us.
  • Stop the daily email: in Settings, or reply to any daily email to unsubscribe.
  • Stop notifications: in the app (Me → Notifications), or in iOS Settings.
  • Ask us: for access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, or to object to how we use it, email support@periscope.email. We will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

8. Security

Every row of your data is scoped to you, and to your team where you share a territory, by Postgres row-level security. Traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS), and data is encrypted at rest by Supabase. Sign-in is handled by Supabase Auth, so we never see your password. Payments are handled by Stripe. More on the Security page.

9. Children

Periscope is a business tool for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.

10. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email you before the change takes effect, and update the date at the top.
